Children of today are the youth of tomorrow. HIV affects this very precious generation and bear grave consequences to our future, our nation, the continent and the world at large. It will adversely impact the health statistics, economic growth and above all the morale of nations.HIV and TB form a lethal combination each speeding the others progress. Those who are HIV positive and infected with TB are more likely to become sick with TB than those infected with TB and are HIV negative. The present study has been undertaken to know the feasibility of HIV screening in children having tuberculous meningitis / disseminated tuberculosis attending the pediatric department of JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India.
