HMDP-99mTc whole body tomoscintigraphy and bone metastases

In the era of hybrid imaging, whole-body bone tomoscintigraphy is of indisputable value. It improves the quality of the report, reduces the number of undecided examinations and increases the level of confidence in favour of a non considerable irradiation. It avoids the use of other more irradiating and costly diagnostic tests. An adequate management of patients in search of bone metastases requires this examination and makes the use of planar bone scintigraphy obsolete.
