New education for sustainable development in chemistry is holistic, inquiry-based and socio-constructivist. The topic of this book is both internationally and nationally interesting and current. The holistic and inquiry-based chemistry education presented in this book supports versatile studying and citizenship skills in a new way. The results may be used to promote sustainable development in the planning of chemistry education and the education of chemistry teachers.

Autorentext

Marianne Juntunen, a chemistry teacher, an engineer and a PhD in chemistry teaching, finnished her work about Sustainability in Chemistry Education in University of Helsinki, Finland in July 2015. Her main interests are related to socio-scientific issues in education. She teaches in a small school in Northern-Lapland and volunteers for NGOs.
