Homeschooling in Brazil

Homeschooling allows children to get closer to their parents, to engage in dialogue, encouragement, love, respect, freedom of learning, character development and, above all, to use their intelligence, skills, talents and abilities to find solutions to society's problems. This book invites readers to learn about the contributions of Home Teaching in the Brazilian context, a modality that has been successfully practised in several countries. By exploring and describing theories of learning, this book offers an analysis of the effects of home education on teaching/learning, allowing readers to enter the territory of Home Education and learn about the current challenges. Although we know that the challenges to be faced are great, we cannot fail to recognise the progress made in building the paradigms and practices of Home Education, which has managed to sow new territories of hope in Brazilian education.
