The discography of Hoodoo Gurus, an Australian rock group, consists of eight studio albums, thirty-two singles, one extended play, five compilation albums and four video album/DVD releases. Formed in January 1981, the band was originally known as Le Hoodoo Gurus for the release of their first single, "Leilani" in October 1982. Hoodoo Gurus' debut album, Stoneage Romeos was released in March 1984 on Big Time Records. When Stoneage Romeos was issued in America by A&M Records it stayed at number 1 in the Alternative/College charts for seven weeks, becoming one of the most played albums for the year on the college network. Hoodoo Gurus' peak of popularity was in the mid-to-late 1980s with the albums Mars Needs Guitars!, Blow Your Cool! and Magnum Cum Louder, all of which charted on the American Billboard 200 album charts. 1992 saw the release of Electric Soup and Gorilla Biscuit by BMG, winning the band's first Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Award, for 'Best Cover Art' in 1993, with both albums certified triple Platnium.
