Hospital Management

Nursing management plays an essential role in the proper functioning of the healthcare system. The efficient administration of nursing services is a fundamental pillar for both hospitals and health centers, as it directly influences the management of human and material resources and, ultimately, the quality and safety of the care provided to patients. Nursing care management requires knowledge of the multiple factors of the environment in which the management action is situated and of the people who provide care. From this environmental perspective, care management requires the nurse manager to exercise leadership and motivation, two essential processes to ensure quality care. Leadership makes it possible to influence the actions of the people responsible for care in relation to their personal commitment and respect for people, so that the nurse manager can transmit the values of care and assume supportive attitudes towards the staff responsible for care and reduce the factors that hinder quality care.
