Nowadays, it has been absolutely strict that the
cruelly competing situation due to the budget
controlling programs in the healthcare markets. To
survive, hospitals enhance efficiency and high
quality of operations to cope with the challenges by
applying strategies. How strategies increasing
performance in hospitals become the serious
questions for discussion. This book, therefore,
illustrated information systems fixed to business
strategic activities, called strategic alignment of
IS for short, to up performance as did as manpower,
lands and finance etc. It integrated (1) developing
a strategic alignment framework, (2) developing
strategic alignment constructs, (3) empirically
testing the model within the mediation
perspectives, (4) data surveyed in Taiwan has
analyzed in using the variance-based analysis and
multiple regression method and (5) examining the
links mediating the performance. For the
professionals and executives in healthcare
administration and strategy management fields, this
book led them more sense in directing business
strategies and operations based on strategic
alignment of IS rather than functions
