HRD Practices in the Public Sector of Pakistan
Details
Organizations spend substantial amount of resources on training and development but only a small part of investment succeeds in producing desired results. It is primarily because HRD interventions are not systematically planned, implemented and evaluated. This book explores the training and development practices being followed in public sector project management system in Pakistan and investigates the dynamics of human behaviour in public sector projects in Pakistan, with a view to identifying gaps in such practices and synthesizing a framework for facilitating improvement in capacity building interventions in the projects. The book will help the readers in understanding reasons of low returns from investment in training.
