Human Resource Management

This book is concerned with managing people at work, individually and collectively. In recent times, the function of human resource management has assumed new prominence as concerns persist about globalization, the internationalization of commerce, trade, and technology, and the on-going quest for increased productivity of labor. It is argued that these developments require managers to change the way in which they manage the employment relationship to allow for the most effective utilization of human resources. Dr. Franco Gandolfi serves as the Dean of the School of Business and is a tenured (Full) Professor of Business at California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. He is actively involved in advising and consulting with firms on a global scale and holds an Adjunct Professorship in Business and Leadership with Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
