Human Resources Analytics

Large projects are usually complex and suffer from dynamic structures and various deviations in their schedules. It has been established that both managerial decisions and human resources were main contributors to the problem. Human resources have proved to be a spectacularly effective and vital factor in ensuring project success and competitive advantage of any project organisation; its significance is nevertheless still underestimated by many organisational decisions. This book, therefore, proposes profile theory as a formal approach to human resources modelling. The theory is used to represent different available knowledge/ skills of potential candidates in relation to the specified task position's required knowledge. The theory adopts measurement tools to provide the client with strategic management of his candidates' capabilities and how they are compatible with required working environment/task, thus ensuring the improvement of project management quality. Moreover, human resources capabilities and compatibilities measurement techniques should help provide the management with automated support for their decisions on hiring the most suitable person for the given task criteria.
