Human Vaccine Scenario: Past And Present

Vaccines have benefitted human beings since more than two centuries. The pathway in the development of effective vaccines was neither neat nor direct. Since Jenner's Era, many issues like funding, manufacturing, safety and deep rooted fears in the minds of people due to these agents- have frequently reappeared and have often dominated vaccine policies. The book highlights the history of vaccine development, some definitions in vaccinology, protection of recipient by vaccines, various methods of preparing vaccines, trials, availability of different vaccines, techniques of their storage & administration, diseases prevented by them, adverse events following immunization, their investigation & management and biomedical waste disposal of the immunization waste.
