Hydroxamic Acid Chemistry

This book investigate the chemistry of O-acyl hydroxamic acids derivatives and their rearrangement to to 2-acyloxyamides via treatment with bases. Both aromatic and unsaturated N-acyl side chains were investigated. The possible rearrangement of diacyl hydrazine derivatives and the cyclisation of the O-acyl hydroxamic acids derivatives under atom transfer radical coditions were also investigated.

Yasair S. S. Al-Faiyz graduated from KFU Saudi Arabia 1994 and recived his MSc and Phd from University of Warwick, England, UK in 1998 and 2002 respectively. Currently he is Associate Professor in Organic Chemistry in King Faisal University. His research Interests are Chemistry of hydroxamic acids and the Organic pollutant in water and soil.
