Hyoid Bone in Orthodontics

The hyoid bone, a completely suspended bone in the throat connected by various muscles and ligaments plays a crucial role in a lot of functions of the craniofacial complex. It's plays a very important role in obstructive sleep apnea which is one of the most commonly affected diseases nowadays. This book include the embryology, anatomy, attachments, functions and it's position in different malocclusions and obstructive sleep apnea. It's role still hasn't been understood in different malocclusions, and different growth patterns in Orthodontics.

Dr. Prashant heeft zijn BDS IN 2006 voltooid en is in 2008 bij de tandheelkundige cores van de strijdkrachten gegaan en heeft daar 10 jaar gediend. Zijn passie voor zijn hoger onderwijs leidde hem naar zijn MDS in 2018 en is momenteel in het laatste jaar van zijn MDS-cursus. Hij heeft ook zijn Diploma in Ziekenhuismanagement gedaan in 2014.
