Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in the treatment of spondylodiscitis

Through our study, we tried to show the advantages of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the management of postoperative spondylodiscitis by its addition as an adjuvant treatment to antibiotic therapy, based on the data of the literature, as well as on our knowledge of the bases of hyperbarics. Our work as well as other studies prove that oxygen under pressure can have its place in the therapeutic arsenal of the infection and especially within the infra hospital structures which have hyperbaric chambers.
