This book contains procedures for culture of Plasmodium falciparum in vitro, synchronization, enumeration Infected RBC, parasite antigen preparation,development of monoclonal antibodies to malarial antigens by Hybridoma,Screening procedures-IFA and ELISA and affinity purification of antigens of P. falciparum. The work also includes procedures for induction, detection and purification of plasmodium vivax fusion proteins expresssed in lamda gt11 and pMAL vectors.

(Immunology,university of Birmingham, U.K), worked at the Dept. of Microbiology, AIIMS, New Delhi, India, from 1963 to 1995 and retired as Professor and Head. Dr.Rajyalakshmi, M.Sc., M. Phil. Ph. D. is working as Asst prof at the Dept. of Biotechnology, BMS College of Engg,Bangalore, India.
