Identity in Things Fall Apart and No Longer at Ease offers a contemporary discussion of the challenges the colonized nations encountered during the dark period of colonialism. For colonized nation, one of the most significant challenges has been the identity crisis. Chinua Achebe, The Nigerian Writer, has been successful in depicting the life of the colonized people and their challenges to find their place in the new order of society and to eradicate the ambiguity regarding the identity of their own. Chinua Achebe, in his two outstanding novels Things Fall Apart and No Longer at Ease, attempted to highlight the issue of identity as a great challenge among the oppressed nations and has also studied the crises that have been caused from the confrontation between western and indigenous cultures. The current book attempts to depict the reality of African communities in order to make them ready for self-determination.
