Image Feature Descriptor and Its Real-time Applications

Image feature descriptor and its real-time applications presents on a fundamental computer vision challenge: feature description and matching. It includes the development of two novel feature descriptors, PRO and SYBA; an affine adaptation process; and improvements in real-time computer vision algorithms using the SYBA descriptor. The text is presented in such way that allows all concepts to be easily understood. This provides the reader with both a hardware-friendly feature description and feature matching algorithm which suitable for embedded vision applications.

Alok Desai received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer engineering from BYU-Provo in 2015, M.S. from CSU, Los Angeles in 2011, and B.E. from VNSGU, India in 2008. He is currently an R&D Engineer with CubiScan. His research interests are in linear and non-linear control, real-time image processing, and machine vision applications.
