This book gives insights in the understanding of the impact of Agricultural subsidies on the benefiting small scale farmers. Most developing countries who are promoting and implementing pro-poor policies use Agricultural subsidies with a view to increasing Agricultural production and reduce poverty among the small scale farmers. Such economic policies may, however, not achieve the intended objectives. Alfred Sianjase was born on 8th November, 1970 in Sinazongwe district, Southern Province of Zambia. He did his Primary Education at Nag'ombe Primary School and Secondary Education at Chikola Secondary School. He obtained a Diploma in Agriculture from NRDC, Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Economics from UNZA, Lusaka, Zambia.
