India is called as the "Spice Bowl of the World" for production of variety of spices with superior quality. Growing spices for various purposes in India has been famous since the ancient times. The spices are growing as indispensable part of the modern food along with ever growing demand in medicine and cosmetic industries. Thus the demand for the spices are growing at faster rate. India is the top producing and exporting country of Curcuma longa L., which is commonly called as turmeric. From the traders, researchers and marketing personals there was a great search for the information on the turmeric, which is one of the important spice. This book will give a complete insight into the turmeric spice compressing, turmeric production, marketing, price dynamics, growth in export, direction of trade, and forecast for export. The results reveals that there was positive impact of globalization on production and trade of turmeric in India. The price was highly integrated with international prices. Only few countries were stable importer of of Indian Turmeric. In total the turmeric will have great future due to the changing consumption pattern and population growth world wide.
