Impact of HIV on Bio-cultural attributes

This book explores the biological and social aspects of HIV among two indigenous communities of Nagaland (India) namely Angami and Zeliang Nagas from an anthropological perspective. Thus, providing a better understanding, not only on the morpho-physiology of the two populations, but a cue on the knowledge and attitude of the people towards HIV, as well as stigma related experiences among HIV positive people and impact of HIV on biological variables. It is hoped that the findings of this research will greatly benefit the policy makers and medical practitioners centralizing in the field of HIV.
