Impact of ICT for information access in Special Libraries of Assam

This book is an investigation about the Impact of ICT in special libraries of Assam. An attempt has been made to demonstrates and elaborates the primary way to learn about ICT's, the purpose of using ICT enabled services, to what extent users are utilizing ICT based services and facilities, various aspects of internet usage and problems faced by the users in using the ICT in libraries. In Assam automation has been initiated in almost all libraries using library automation software and is under different stages of completion. The aim of this book is to show whether the impact of information communication technologies have any influence on the development of Special Libraries in Assam.

Barooah es profesor del DLIS en la Universidad de Ciencia y Tecnología de Meghalaya. Anteriormente fue el jefe del KRC y de la ICT en el CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam hasta 2016.
