The specific purpose of the current study is to shed light on the effects of social media usage for improving EFL student s vocabulary storage, learning and understanding at the University level. Moreover, it will also investigate that how the social media can be used as an effective educational tool particularly for the enhancement of vocabulary among ESL learners.This general purpose can be categorized into some specific aims. These can be interpreted as follows:1. To investigate the impacts of social media networking usage on the vocabulary of students.2. To probe the impact of social media on learning patterns of male and female students of graduate level.
