Impact of the Internet on Criminal Law

This study aims to discuss the impacts of technology in Brazilian criminal law, not focusing on the exhaustion of the theme. It is a review of literature based on research through scientific articles and books, selected by searching the database of websites and libraries. The research will point out how the evolution of technology, with emphasis on the world wide web, impacts society and its reflection on the jurisdiction and legislation, addressing some of the cybercrimes and punctuating some of the laws created as a consequence of the virtual world. The work also brings studies which report on the benefits of technology before the criminal law. The work provides the possibility of being used for the preparation of various activities, delivering to the reader, relevant content for the formalizations of these. Because it is a subject in constant evolution, the current comparison with the future evolution will make new researches and inventions possibly be created. Notwithstanding discussions, the theme reports how criminal law deals with this advance embedded in society, all via the factors highlighted in this coexistence between both subjects.
