IMPLANT IMPRESSION TECHNIQUES

A good Impression is the main requisite of Implant-supported prosthesis. Without an accurate Impression, the prosthesis will be failed. Accurate Impressions and meticulous attention in recording complete details provide a foundation for long-term durability and success of the prosthesis in Implant prosthodontics. A comprehensive understanding of the wide range of basic prosthetic components, Implant Impression materials, and Implants Impression Techniques will provide paramount skills in performing clinical procedures in Implant Dentistry. The properties of an Impression material, including rigidity and accuracy, can influence the accuracy of the Implant Impression, the accuracy of the solid Implant cast, and ultimately, the accuracy of the cast Implant framework. Digital Impressions resulted in a more efficient Technique than conventional Impressions when assessed by total treatment time. Conventional Impressions would require more experience to achieve the same level of proficiency than digital Impressions. Hence, the Impression Technique is the key to success in the field of Implant dentistry.
