Implementing Guidance and Counselling Programmes in Secondary Schools

This book describes guidance, counselling, guidance and counselling as well as guidance and counselling programmes. It also explains the roles of guidance and counselling teachers in general and in respect to the implementation of guidance and counselling programmes in secondary schools. Challenges faced by these teachers during programme implementation have also been indicated. Conversely, respective proposed solutions have been presented. Lastly, among other things the means of implementing guidance and counselling programmes are elaborated.

Francis Stanley Sikanyika is a Teacher and Professional Counsellor. He is serving in the Ministry of General Education (Zambia) as Guidance and Counselling Teacher; Zonal Special Education Coordinator at Bwalya Mponda Secondary School in Lunga District, Luapula Province. He holds a Master of Science in Counselling from the Univ. of Zambia.
