Importance of Public Participation in the Improvement of Basic Service

This study focuses on the importance of public participation in improving the quality of basic service delivery at Molemole Local Municipality, Limpopo Province. Public participation is a means of empowering citizens by creating public platform for them to develop skills and abilities in order to negotiate their needs and demands with the government. Public participation is one of the symbols of democracy where people are given the chance to get involved in the government affairs. People have the right to be involved in the programmes and projects that will impact on their future.
