IMPROPER AND UNAUTHENTIC CATECHESIS; CAUSE OF MASS DE CHRISTIANISATION

Youth are the best evangelisers to their peers. No one can do it better than they . Knowledge of faith, however, needs guidance to achieve its utmost impact. Faith is a result of some revealed truths shared from one generation to another. Jesus Christ is the Teacher who reveals God to Man and Man to himself, the Teacher who saves, sanctifies and guides. He comes and will come in glory. In HIM, the Church finds transcendent grace, permanent inspiration and the convincing model for all communication of the faith. Large numbers of people are choosing to become followers of Christ everywhere. They are a blessing and a challenge to the Church to form and instruct them well before baptism or else they will weaken the Church. There is need of placing more emphasis on conversion and formation of attitudes and character than mere assimilation of doctrines, making Christ truly the centre of all our teaching, so that in all we do, in all our endeavours, TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
