Improved Techniques for Direct Torque Control of Induction Motors
Details
Enormous research has been carried out all over the globe to encompass the technical excellence of dc motor into more rugged induction motors. Among the various inventions, indirect vector control (IVC) and direct torque control (DTC) methods became the most popular in industry, meeting the requirement of wide speed range and fast torque response. The induction motor (IM) sensor-less control swaps the speed sensor by microcomputer or Digital Signal Processor (DSP) based estimation and thus perks up the robustness and trustworthiness of drive with diminution in cost and complexity. The MRAS based speed estimation is proved as one of the superlative method because of its elevated performance ability and straight forward stability.
