In the Public Eye: The Parliamentary Transparency in Japan

Legislative politics has fascinated scholars and reformers for over a century now. And transparency has become a buzzword of late, with more and more organizations forced to show that they are, in fact, transparent. But since parliament is the house of the people, the people must know what is going on and what their representatives are doing in this house. It is in this sense that systematic study of legislative transparency of Japan has become relevant.
