Inclusive education in Mozambique

The development of skills in children with speech disabilities requires a multifaceted and integrated approach, focused on maximizing communicative and social potential. These mechanisms involve early intervention, individualized speech therapy, the use of assistive technologies, family and school involvement and the promotion of inclusive environments.The earlier speech difficulties are identified and addressed, the greater the chances of success. This usually takes place in nurseries and schools, which allow for rapid referral to specialists in the field. A qualified speech assistant assesses each child's specific needs and draws up a plan.

Titos Adriano Guambe hat einen Abschluss in Erziehungswissenschaften mit Qualifikationen in Lehrplanentwicklung. Zwischen 2022 und 2024 arbeitete er an verschiedenen Aktivitäten zur Entwicklung pädagogischer Strategien für die Inklusion von Kindern mit sonderpädagogischem Förderbedarf in Schulen im Bezirk Vilankulo: Pambara Basic School, Machengue Primary School und Mudjavangue Primary School.
