Increasing the stability of the slope of the quarry

The monograph presents theoretical and experimental studies of the stability of the slopes of the sides of quarries, effective parameters of contour blasting, schemes for bench cutting in the zone of residual deformations are given and a method for increasing the stability of the sides of the quarry by forming a concave profile of the slope of a high ledge is developed. The scientific foundations and research results of the technology of the construction of stable-constructive sides of quarries are given, taking into account the properties of the rock mass and the technology of drilling and blasting operations. The monograph will be useful for teachers and students of mining universities and faculties, engineering and technical workers of mining enterprises, research and design institutes.
