India's Irrigiation infrastructure since the Early 1970s: An Analysis

Majority of the people in India are still engaged in agriculture and irrigation plays an important role in terms of enhancing the productivity of the sector along with other inputs. This books present the trends and patterns relating to irrigation infrastructure development in India since the early 1970s. It brings attention to the various issues plaguing the different sources of irrigation. It further explores the equity aspects in terms of access to different sources of irrigation among different categories of farm holdings.
