Indian Family In the Era of Globalization: A Sociological Enquiry

Indian family has witnessed several changes after 1990s. The process of globalization has brought some important and inevitable changes in the traditional family system in India. This book describes multiple ways in which the changes in Indian family system have taken place in recent years. Bringing sociological insights and theories to understand the changes in the family system, the study shows how the roles of women and youth have changed while shouldering new roles and responsibilities. The work centres around understanding the impact of the processes of Industrialization, Westernization and Globalization and its impact on family system in India.

Zu seinen Interessengebieten gehören politische Soziologie, Globalisierung, soziale Schichtung und sozialer Wandel.
