In today s fast paced globalized world there have been dynamic changes not only in industrial manufacturing systems and processes, but also in transformation of manufacturing economy in to service economy. Fast developing economies like China and India have transformed their economies from being goods dominated to services dominated economies which has resulted in the growing complexity of banking, insurance, investment, education, and healthcare services. In India healthcare is delivered through both the public sector and private sector. The public healthcare system consists of healthcare facilities run by central and state government which provide services free of cost or at a subsidized rates to low income group in rural and urban areas. With the Indian economy enjoying a steady growth, the industry is heading towards growth phase. "There has been an upward swing in personal expenditure on healthcare. The Indian consumer is getting more and more concerned about his health, and retail would help provide the consumer with greater choice." There is an endless list but a general categorization of factors contributing towards the growth of healthcare services.
