Details

My book is about the "Mother-Child Relationship in Rabindranath Tagore's Gora". Here I am going to highlight the nature of Indian Nationalism through the image of a mother and the relationship between a mother and a child. It is such a mother who does not bother about her own biological child but she is the mother who can embrace all the outsiders as her own children. This is actually our India which is the most liberal country by its nature. So Indian Nationalism must be named as cultural Internationalism which is beyond the narrow boundary of nationalism. India is always worshipped as mother and the most important image of mother is Bengali "Ma" which is mainly described in the writings of Tagore.
