Indicators of problematic ICT use

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) are a set of services, networks, software and devices developed to achieve a better transmission of information and communication. ICTs facilitate access in a fast way and in different formats, whether audio, video and/or image, allowing its processing, storage, summary and retrieval. Their use generates advantages in the different areas in which the functionalities they provide are used, such as education, work, health, among others.In spite of this, there are clear indicators of problematic consumption, establishing adolescents as the main population at risk. At present, there are no references to a problem related to their use in diagnostic manuals and for this reason, this review aims to generate clinical application material for the identification of indicators of problematic ICT use.
