Indigenous Gadaa System:

This book highlights the findings of the research conducted on the indigenous Gadaa system to explore alternative industrial management techniques for improving industrial management and productivity in industries. Gadaa is an indigenous system which plays pivotal role for enforcing moral integrity, building social cohesion and peace building among the Oromo. The Gadaa system is also instrumental as it helps in nurturing and instilling every citizen with wisdom and skill to overcome any challenge and manage their resources properly so as to encourage the society to be more productive citizens. It also creates a system of strong cooperation and competition among the citizens so as to help them excel in continuous social improvement. Accordingly, in the Gadaa system, people who manage to maximize their yield will be recognized in a peculiar way. Thus, the essence of the practices and principles of Gadaa system seem to correspond with modern industrial management techniques that have helped to enhance industrial management, improve productivity and ensure sustainable development.
