Indirect Labour Tool

The Indian auto industry is one of the largest in the world. The industry accounts for 7.1 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The Two Wheelers segment with an 80 percent market share is the leader of the Indian Automobile market owing to a growing middle class and a young population. Moreover, the growing interest of the companies in exploring the rural markets further aided the growth of the sector. The overall Passenger Vehicle (PV) segment has a 14 percent market share. The Materials Handler's task is to provide the customer (the production line operators) with the parts needed, when needed, in the amounts needed, and, in the quantities and location requested. A continual challenge exists for each plant - become more labor efficient while maintaining optimal customer service. The applications of indirect labour tools may help to enhance the productivity and profitability of the business to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
