Industrial Automation and Organizational Change

Companies are increasingly seeking to improve their processes by combining them with technology, and automation helps them in this process. The red ceramics industry is of great importance to the state's economic development. Automation brings benefits such as productivity gains, increased conformity in manufactured products and services. The aim of this study was to analyse the organizational and technological changes that occurred after the implementation of industrial automation systems in two ceramics organizations in the state of Rondônia, located in the cities of Cacoal and Pimenta Bueno, as well as to describe the production systems used by the organizations studied, and to identify and analyse the technological and behavioural changes that occurred after implementation.
