Industrialization of Tilapia

The industrialization of Nile Tilapia has become a business that generates income for fish fry producers, fish fatteners and the owners of slaughterhouses and fish processing plants. In the western region of Paraná, this chain is emerging and has transformed the reality of many families involved mainly in fish production and fattening. The fish supply the cold stores, which in turn generate jobs and income for the municipalities where they are installed. This production chain has grown significantly over the last two decades and has become one of the main sources of income for those involved.
