Details
Infant mortality is examined by the infant's month of birth and patterns are seen by the cause of death. These trends are sustained after controlling for measures of climate and demographic variables. Findings indicate that amongst infants who die--even in contemporary times--there is a connection between the month of birth and an the infant's cause of death. This finding may indicate that the experience of a fetus while in utero has an effect on their health outcome after birth.
