Influence of Different Parameters in Optimal Weight Design

While designing any type of structure some parameters may influence the design of the structure. This project evaluating the influence of different parameters in the design of steel structures. To find out the influencing parameters involves the analysis of simple 3-D frames by using a very popular software tool STAAD Pro.On this calculated all necessary loads and load combinations and applied all loads, and compared the results with software tool STAAD Pro. And manually calculated results. Detailing the material properties, like a different grade of steel, and compared the results. Compared the different types of connections in the design of structural steel, and compared the results. And also list out the different types of flooring in steel structures, explained the framed system and braced system in steel structures, and also conclude suitable conditions of the bracing system. And finally described the fixed-base system and hinge base system in structural design of steel building.

Mr. Siva Kishore Ikkurthi is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Koneru Lakshmaiah Educational Foundation (Deemed to be University), India. He has completed ME in structural engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, India in 2014 and BE in civil engineering from Andhra University in 2011.
