Globalization, growth in number of scientists and technologist, exponential growth of S&T literature, interdisciplinary nature of science subjects, daunting task of bridging between disciplines, increased team research (multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary), collaborative activities, rapid disseminations of research results through ICTs, challenging scenario and promising opportunities are the basic reasons that make science academics and researchers roles multi dimensional, therefore, exploration of Information Needs and Seeking Behaviour is very important. This compact work provides comprehensive theoretical overview of relevant concepts, theories and models of INSB presented by well known authors and researchers. It identifies the university science faculties information needs and explores their seeking behaviour in the rapidly evolving electronic access culture on campuses. Limitations and barriers of the present information system, contribution to knowledge and future implications are described for an appropriate management system to facilitate the access of this community to available online sources besides traditional library sources and services.

Muzammil Tahira, M.Phil in LIS (PU)Lahore-Pakistan. Since last 12 years she has been working as a Librarian in education department. She is member of SLA, PLA, PULISAA and Country Representative of SLA (Asian Chapter). Her areas of research are INSB, Library Anxiety and Information Literacy.
