Information Systems Implementation in Developing Country Contexts
Details
The books is situated within the information information systems in developing countries sub-field. It takes an in-depth look at information systems implementation in developing country contexts using the idea of historicity and contexts which is rooted in everyday life phenomenology. It explains how social realities that influence information systems implementation are created and how they influence the outcomes of information systems implementation projects. By building on the idea of historicity, the book presents an elaborate analysis of how four social actors namely, consociates, contemporaries, predecessors and successor social construct social realities over a period of time. The idea reinforces the notion that organizations are embedded in both internal and external environments that are socially constructed by those that act within the environments.
