Information Technology in Environmental Management

Environmental problems have raised the need to manage and control the environment properly through the use of technology. Information systems are available to man in the prediction of natural and technological events that affect the environment to preserve and maintain a stable and habitable environment.The author took time to highlight environmental problems and the application of information technology as a remedy in mitigation of these problems. The author studied Environmental Resource Management(2003-2008)in Abia State University Uturu. She proceeded to Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State in (2010-2013) where she obtained a Masters in Urban and Regional planning. She is very interested in environmental issues.
