Innovative digital technologies in dental prosthetics

This book presents a systematic analysis of the use of digital technologies in prosthetic dentistry with a focus on CAD/CAM systems, 3D visualization and virtual planning. The principles of operation of integrated complexes that allow to create accurate virtual models of the dento-mandibular system, automate the design and increase the predictability of prosthetics are considered. It is shown that digital technologies shorten the time of fabrication of structures, improve their compliance with the anatomical features of the patient and reduce the risk of functional and aesthetic complications. Special attention is paid to the educational process: application of VR-simulators, interactive platforms and specialized software, providing standardization of training and accelerated adaptation of young specialists. Current trends in digitalization are analyzed, including the use of artificial intelligence and robotic systems that open up prospects for personalized prosthetics, as well as the integration of digital solutions into research and clinical practice.
