Innovativeness of a national economy

Title: Innovativeness of a national economy The studied problem is how to increase innovativeness of a national economy in the conditions of contemporary globalization of the innovation processes. Object of study is national economy and particularly processes, activities and results concerning the creation, adoption and use of new knowledge, as well as the theoretical-methodological and method-applied aspects of their research by the economic science. Studied structures of economy are the institutional sectors, performing and funding R&D activities. The main tasks of the study are: - Developing a concept of public impact on renovating the national economy, based on creating, adopting and using new knowledge; - Developing instruments for practical application of the concept; - Improving and approbating the methodic instruments for monitoring and analyzing the renovating at macroeconomic and firm level; - Determining the level and factors of increasing the innovativeness of the national economy; - Outlining priorities for public impact on increasing the innovativeness of the Bulgarian economy.

Professor Rossitsa Chobanova: Affiliated to the Economic Research Institute at the Bulgarian academy of sciences. Holds nationally recognized DSc, and PhD from Moscow State University. Fields of study: management of innovation, innovation and investment policy, and knowledge driven economy. Her academic publications appear in 10 countries.
