The study of biodiversity associated with agro-ecosystems such as rice fields is of significance for agroecologists and conservation biologists. Order Lepidoptera diversity was studied in their level of species richness. In view of these facts the present study was designed to study the diversity and distribution of insects in Kanakkampalayam, Athani and Mevani, Erode district. Increased human activities and unfavourable climatic conditions, urbanization also influences the distribution of insects in the study area. This book provides the biodiversity of Insects in a particular village in our Erode district. This book designed to serve and documented as a text and guide for Entomology and Research scholars. It contains simplified presentations with chart, tables and plates to help the readers easily understanding the collection of insects. The book aims to be a complete handy guide to preparing for projects.
