Insect of Brinjal (Solanum melongena)and their eco-friendly management

The thesis book M.Sc. (Ag.) 2015-2017, the author has provided a sufficiently critical evaluation of different eco- friendly insecticides use against brinjal shoot and fruit borer management in brinjal (Solanum melongena ;family Solanaceae) crop. Studies conducted on the incidence of insects and natural enemies on brinjal crop revealed the presence of whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), aphid Myzus persicae (Sulzer) (Hemiptera: Aphididae), jassid Amrasca biguttula biguttula (Ishida) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), hadda beetle Epilachna vigintioctopunctata (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), mealybug Coccidohystrix insolita (Green) (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae), lace bug Urentius sentis (Distant) (Hemiptera: Tingidae), shoot and fruit borer Leucinodes orbonalis (Guenn.) (Lepidoptera: Pyraustidae), lady bird beetle Menochilus
