The optical measurement technology is of great significance in the production process, and the issue of raising the quality of products and increasing production is unthinkable apart from the optical measurement and inspection technology. Optical measurement and inspection techniques that use optical phenomena and properties of light to obtain object information have a wide range of applications and have many advantages over other measurement techniques, such as non-contact, non-destructive, rapid measurement and adaptability to the environment.Optical phenomena, which mostly occur in the interaction of light with matter, are absorption, dispersion, fluorescence and scattering of light. The parameters such as the amplitude, phase, polarization, wavelength, velocity, etc. of light in the medium provide rich information about the measured object.Starting from this starting point, this book is written for the purpose of giving the general understanding of optical measurement techniques and the methods for the various inspection of liquids and materials in industry.
